These wood storm doors followed in the footsteps of the Victorian wood screen doors but preceded the modern aluminum door. They are 1-3/8″ thick and have two separate frames, one for glass & one for screen. The frames interchange by turning wooden turnbuckles on the inside of the door.
Canadian Wood Craftsman's quality wood screen doors come nicely sanded and paint ready. We use West System water impervious adhesive when assembling these doors with Mortise and Tenon Joinery. D-select grade of white pine minimizes knots to very small and very few if any. We also build these doors in select hardwoods like Oak.
